Inderveer Sodhi's 2nd studio album features music from and inspired by his directorial debut of the same name. Monster explores the cultural landscape of Surrey, British Columbia, and the emotional world surrounding the rise of gang violence among South Asian youth.
Blending Punjabi folk traditions with punchy hip-hop and somber orchestral compositions, the album features instruments such as the Erhu and Sarangi—echoing the immigrant histories that helped shape British Columbia’s cultural identity.
Collaborations with Surrey artists Raman Bains and Tavnoor Toor bring an unmistakable local authenticity to the record, while Sukhman Sandhu’s aggressive, rural vocals serve as a powerful anchor for its storytelling.
